Some say that those who labored and perished there dug so deep that they ended up reaching the magmatic core of Mount Scauldron and awakening its guardian. Others believe that said guardian arose from Ouronigride's fiery breath, and still others claim it was Hazieff Taroun himself who brought it into the world.
To this day, the history of the Obsidemon's Hypogeum and its lord is as opaque as the cloud of smoke formed by the lava flows that flooded it after the big freeze.
