Modifications: Game Economy

Since the launch of DOFUS Touch, we've been constantly working to balance the game's economy. The fact remains that although the in-game Kama-Goultine balance is now satisfactory, it's not yet absolutely perfect. That's why a few adjustments will be made starting from next week, and here are some details about them.

To put simply, too many kamas are generated and left unspent, which is already disrupting the in-game economy. We therefore wish to apply different measures, starting with an increase in the tax at Markets.

TAX AT MARKETS

The current 2% tax at Markets will increase to 3%, starting from January 12th, 2017.

Although this change may seem negligible on the scale of a single player, its impact on the scale of the entire game will allow us to ensure the economy's stability across all servers by avoiding excessive kama generation.

To anticipate your feedback (we're getting to know you well!), bots are clearly causing problems for the economy. This is a project we're actively working on; we'll give you more details about it in a few weeks.

ITEMS IN THE SHOP

Items from the shop, as well as those given out by the Community team during activities, events or contests, will be linked to the account, starting from January 12th, 2017. This measure is not retroactive.

Items from the shop often ended up in Markets, lost their value, and were in competition with other in-game items: this is not the main objective of either the Shop or the events. This will prevent us from depreciating these items, and will make them more valuable to you. This will also allow us to provide more enjoyable community activities for you which are more based on merit, with exclusive (or almost) items: if you have a certain item, it's because you were the winner of a certain activity!

This will allow us to balance the game's economy better by avoiding abnormal rates, while allowing us to fight fraud and theft more effectively.

We understand that these decisions no doubt won't make everyone happy, but in our opinion, this is the appropriate response to ensure the game's durability and to offer you the best experience possible.

We obviously remain at your disposal if you have any questions! Feel free to leave your feedback on the news.
