Those of you who have been paying attention will already have read ToT's seasons greetings a little early in Gamakna #5 a few days ago. For the rest of you, on the first day of the new year, ToT and everyone here at Ankama wish you a wonderful 2018!

Dear all,

Here we are at the end of 2017. It's been a year rich in unforeseen developments, inflamed discussions, and impassioned creations.

Major updates have followed one another in both of our historic games, DOFUS and WAKFU. Their little brothers, Krosmaga and DOFUS Touch, have also had their share of good news, and we have launched an in-house "mobile games" team, whose first game (Drag'n'Boom) was so successful that we decided to keep going. Finally, we are also very happy to have started producing DOFUS Cube (I give you updates about its progress regularly on my personal blog).

On the animation side of things, Wakfu Season 3 has got tongues wagging, and the movie Mutafukaz won people's hearts at its premieres in Annecy, San Diego, and Los Angeles. It even had the honor of making it into the Gérardmer International Fantastic Film Festival's official selection. Abraca, the series that we have been working on for several years now, has finally entered production, and our new movie, Princess Dragon, is on track to follow suit next year.

Ankama Editions (our publishing division) hasn't been outdone either, with some very nice projects that have warmed our hearts throughout the year. Maudoux and Run are still growing Freaks' Squeele and Mutafukaz, their respective universes, through spin-offs such as Funérailles and Puta Madre. Mig brought Franck Thilliez's novel to life by drawing Puzzle, and Mathieu Bablet signed the big hit of the year with Shangri-La.

Finally, board game fans have been in for real treats with games like Stellium and Gang Rush. I'd like to take this opportunity to offer my wholehearted thanks to the 5,484 people who supported Monster Slaughter on Kickstarter, raising almost 400,000 euros for the project. Coming in February: Krosmaster Boufbowl and Henhouse Havoc

That's it for a non-exhaustive recap of 2017.

In 2018, we obviously want to go further, be even more creative, and live up to your expectations.

Once again, thank you all for sticking with us. Whether you're a reader, player, or viewer, your support is what allows us to work on these projects.

On behalf of everyone here at Ankama, I hope you'll enjoy the winter holidays and have a happy new year!

Tot
