The closed beta of Lairs of Incarnam comes to an end! Not everyone had the opportunity to participate, so we wanted to share with you the experience of three beta testers: Topaz-Rider, Tauriel and Cyn.
Beta testers focus

How long have you been playing DOFUS Touch?

Topaz-Rider: I'm from Dodge server, and I have been playing for about 5 months now.

Tauriel: I'm from Brutas. I have been playing almost since the opening or maybe a week after that.

Cyn: I'm from Dodge server and I have been playing since October 2016.

Why did you want to help test the beta of Lairs of Incarnam?

Topaz-Rider: I enjoy playing DOFUS Touch and I like to test new things. Feels like I have a bit of a knack for it. Also, I like to be first, and meet new people.

Tauriel: I'm pretty much in love with DOFUS Touch. With the story, the backgrounds, the quests, I love the reference to literature or art. And to have the opportunity to help in this project was for me just great. I wanted so much to do it

Cyn: I love being a noob on a new server. The game was getting a little stale for me, and I wanted to see what was in store!

How many hours have you played in the beta?

Topaz-Rider: Roughly 8 to 10 hours now.

Tauriel: Oops! Many hours I confess! Maybe four every day or so. It depends on the day.

Cyn: If I had to guess I'd say probably about 30 hours. What can I say? I love DOFUS Touch, and I have a job! Lol.

Which of the new sets is your favorite and why?

Topaz-Rider: I only got through Tofu. Seems like it could be a good pvp set.

Tauriel: I have been using the Celestia Arachnee set (sorry I play in Spanish and I know most of the names in the game by the word in Spanish). I like it very much, the design is so great, having a spider in the head is the creepiest sweetest thing!

Cyn: If I had to pick a new set, I'd probably go with Arachnee because I like the wisdom and power and mp. Wisdom = leveling, but I don't like the idea of wearing a spider on my head! Lol.

Which of the new lairs is your favorite and why?

Topaz-Rider: They're all the same for me. What I enjoyed was having to be brave and go in regardless of not knowing what was in there.

Tauriel: I'm not sure I can choose one. Every one is a new excited experience as we are leveling.

Cyn: I enjoyed fighting the Boar boss the most; when he pushes things around it makes strategizing more challenging.

What did you think of this beta experience?

Topaz-Rider: Enjoyable enough! I've started characters on new servers 3 times, so it's not very different for me.

Tauriel: I think I said a little how I feel about being in the beta. I have been trying to help, to test most of the quests and things... it is kind of frustrating when you find a bug but at the same time I feel excited because that is the goal!

Cyn: This was my first beta and I really enjoyed it, and I would totally sign up again for it.

What is your opinion on this coming update which is designed to better accomodate beginners?

Tauriel: Maybe it is missing aggressive monsters. But the strategy that we need to build to kill the different bosses is great training!

Cyn: I think that the introduction of the lairs in Incarnam will help new players understand the way that sets work, and the benefits of using a full set. It also allows new players access to better gear than either the initiate or the Boone set, which is also nice. As a new player, I always used the Adventurer set because the stats across the board are nice, the increase in wisdom especially, but I like how the new sets have more advanced stats, which regular Dofus didn't get until much later. It's been really cool checking it all out.

Do you think the "lair" concept should be applied to the rest of the game later on?

Tauriel: Yes! I imagine hunters taking care of the different big monsters, that would be great, it is really great training.

Cyn: I think for content's sake, it would be cool if we got lairs incorporated into DOFUS Touch. The ability to drop set pieces is an amazing thing, but I'm not sure how that would work in the higher levels. It would have to be some rare percentage, if not nearly as bad as dropping a Dofus from Soft Oak or Dragon Pig.
